General Finishes

After perusing the yard sale ads for the day, I found this interesting estate sale on St. George Street in St. Augustine, Florida  (the oldest street in the U.S.A.) Upon entering the home, I talked to the caretaker of a lady whom had passed away at the age of 91. Apparently, she had moved from Brooklyn to St. Augustine and brought her 1920's furniture with her. Well, after many negotiations, this beauty and two sideboards went home with me and received a nice silky coat of my custom-made Vilano Blue Milk Paint by General Finishes. I gave her two coats and some light distressing along with a coat of clear wax by Maison Blanche to top her off. If only she could tell stories of the dusty doily imprints that were on her when I picked her up. What fine china sat on her chest?  Who sat before her feasting on Thanksgiving Day? Who dusted her and who dinged her up? Well, it really doesn't matter now... because future generations can enjoy her restored youth and beauty.
