Something Blue...

Have you ever tried to re create a look on a different piece of furniture?  Well, that is what happened with this piece.  The original was sold a day before the other customer came in to purchase it.  They said without a doubt that they wanted me to re create that very same look on something else.

Now, just to let you all know...I chose to do a piece in Klein Blue because I was tired of painting everything white and I like to challange my artistic abilities to see if I really do have...well...artistic abilities.  Of course, I am only judging myself during these personal design challenges and my husband will only humor me so much.

So, I painted the 1st French Provincial dresser Klein Blue and loved it and I proved my point that not everyone wants white furniture.  People really do like color!  This was very exciting news to probably just me.

Well, there I was thinking...I have another go at this blue piece..a second chance!  I can make it bigger and better because I am from Texas and that is what we do!  Oh... My poor husband.

All along my painting days he has tried and tried again to tell me to try out the airbrush that he has.  Well, now that it was My idea...I heard what he was saying and boy was he right!  After figuring out how to make my hand stop wanting to use a paint brush instead of this awkward trigger thingy.  I have fallen for this super cool technique!  It is a whole new world of painting and it was all my idea!  Thanks hun!

This has by far been the most fun and daring furniture painting experience I have ever had!
