Montana Pie Cabinet

By Erika

I got this beauty for cheap off of a yardsale site. When I went to pick it up, it was dirty, dusty and in major need of some tender love and care but it had a look about it that I loved. Truly an antique, with a back story from a ranch in Montana (now moved to Utah). A lot of sweat and muscle was put into scrubbing it clean and pulling off the plywood inside the doors that was hiding the cute wooden shelves inside. I really wanted to preserve it's original look, so I tried to match the orginal color as best as I could, as well as distressing it to maintain it's antique look. Matching it's look wasn't easy because one door and one drawer had been stripped before I purchased the piece. Now this piece has a new life and can continue to tell it's story, and in this case, it's Cinderella Story!
