Modern Cabin Powder Room from Scratch

By Caroline

We created a powder room from the studs out. We wanted a modern but rustic cabin look so we used different shades of gray and black milk paints. We installed ship lap that we stained with Queenstown Gray Milk Paint that was thinned with water. Then we painted the floor with Lamp Black Milk Paint. Finally, we got a piece of naked furniture to have storage in the powder room. We built up layer upon layer of Driftwood Gray, Seagull Gray, Queenstown Gray, and a light wash of the paint that matched our white trim. Then we lightly distressed it to show all the wonderful tones underneath. Finally we installed planks for the ceiling and painted them with Snow White Milk Paint.
