As an ode to my love of Halloween, I created this hand-painted dresser of Dracula's Castle!
High upon a mountain with a crashing sea below, sits this dark brooding castle of Count Dracula.
Hand painted in GF colors of Lamp Black, Klein Blue and Seagull Gray to name a few, along with blends of some other colors too.
This was a labor of love for me, I'm not sure how many hours were spent on him, time quietly slipped by entranced as I was.
I started with a sketch, and then another sketch (on a dresser) and then began my background colors. Details were next, and oh so fun to do!
The sides and top are a blend of stippled black and gray.
I call this piece DRACUL....in honor of all things that go bump in the night.
