From drab 1980's Oak table to a true centerpiece!

By Marlena Engstrom, owner at emme by design in Knoxville, TN.

I was on the look out for a pedestal table for MONTHS, and already knew that the table woulf be my first project in which I used General Finishes MilkPaint, specifically in Tuscan Red. I had seen photos of other projects with the color, but had not been able to find a SINGLE kicthen table that utilized the fabulous hued red. The top of the table was stained with a combination of GF Java gel stain, wiped back, and Spiced Walnut. After staining, the top was protected with multiple coats of GF Gel Topcoat. The apron and base were both painted with the stunning Tuscan Red. The color is so true, and deep that it goes beautifully with the dark stained top. the color also was a perfect match for the red accents in the fabric that I used onthe chairs.

The chairs were not painted with a General Finishes paint product, but the tone is also a perfect complement to the warm Tuscan Red.
