This little rocker was brought to me in bad shape, by an expecting mom wanting it redone for her soon to arrive, little cowboy. The rocker belonged to the expecting dad, who is now a professional Team Roper, when he was a baby. All I was told were the colors in the nursery, and that they wanted his initials on the horses hip. I was so excited and couldn't wait to begin.

After stripping all the old hardware and saddle material, I sanded down and applied GF Enduro sanding sealer. I then applied GF Dark Chocolate milk paint, I wanted the dark to show through when I distress the additional top coats back. A coat of custom color Blue was layered under a coat of off white. A very thinned down glaze of GF Van Dyke Brown was applied and wiped back followed by GF Top Coat. Facial features were hand painted and leather tack applied. Saddle was  reupholstered, mane and tail were made with strips of material and yarn.  The new owner arrived weighing in at a healthy 8 lbs on July 2, 2017.
