Crowned Buffet

By Mitzie Tibbets, Owner/Designer at JoyUs by Design in VA.

From the curved front drawers to the panels on the front, I knew this piece needed multiple processes to bring all the details to the forefront. First, the top was painted with General Finishes Milk Paint in Lamp Black. This is truly my go-to black paint.  It is luxurious and rich!

The rest of the body was painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old Ochre and French Linen. Fabric was added to the door panels as well as to the two side drawers at the top. The drawers and inside cabinet were painted and then stenciled using Modern Masters Metallic Paint in Oyster. The top, drawers (inside), and inside of the cabinet were top coated using General Finishes High Performance Topcoat in Flat.

Now this piece looks elegant and updated. A real treasure!
