When this table came to us it was in pieces and unstable. It first had to be repaired. The previous finish coat was removed and the table was sanded. A light coat of General Finishes Gel Nutmeg Stain was applied and quickly removed just to freshen up the color of the table top. Multiple layers of Minwax Polyurethane in Gloss were applied to the top. The base was then painted in a home made chalk style paint using Valspar Paint in Pure Silk. A color wash in Cashmere was then applied to age the piece. Pure silk was applied and quickly removed to drawer pull to add demension. Modge Podge was used to create fabric liner in the drawer, completing the look off the table.
