We purchased our house and knew the kitchen would need a makeover right away! The cabinets were a golden maple wood color and the countertop was country blue formica...it was very 80's country from the wallpaper to the countertop.
I painted the cabinets with General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint and applied General Finishes Flat Out Flat Topcoat. We decided we wanted a warm and cozy feel so we chose butcher block as our new countertop. I stained the countertop with General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain. Waterlox Original Sealer was applied as the protective finish.
The transformation of our kitchen was amazing. We went from 80's country design to a chic, warm, and cozy kitchen.
