Black Beauty started out as a dark stained 70's little chest with bright brass hardware and totally unloved. The top was sanded down to bare wood and restrained in minwax provincial. The base was painted as well as the drawer edges in Sherwin Williams thunder gray with Webster's chalk paint powder added. Then General Finishes pitch black glaze was applied for a beautiful luster. The drawer fronts were sanded down to expose the bare wood and then stenciled with black wood icing and croc stencil. Entire piece was coated with General Finishes High Performance satin top coat and the finishing touch, silver star knobs.

Black Beauty is now ready to be loved for years to come!
