My spouse has a business partner. One day he showed up in my driveway withbthise Oak Cabinet. "Can you do something with it? He said.

It was honey oak with 1980s style and HUGE brass pulls. I considered going farmhouse, distressed and changing out the pulls, but that was safe. I don't like safe.

I started with two coats of blue chalk paint. I sealed the entire piece with General Finishes Satin Top Coat. Then I created a white tinted glaze.  I entered this piece in the Creative division because of the technique I used to apply the Glaze. I used a small canvas painting brush. Using a criss cross stroke I covered the entire piece. One it was dry and using the same technique I added more glaze to areas I wanted to highlight. I uodated the brass pulls with a mix of mostly silver with a touch of gold gilding wax.
