Apothecary Style Cabinet

By Shabulous, Owner

This handbuilt vintage cabinet was indeed needing a makeover!  I kept the original frame and drawers and replaced the top and sides with new wood.  The hardware was also handcrafted so I knew I had to keep that intact, it was so unique and added to this vintage rustic piece of furniture.

I layered and blended a multitude of colors by General Finishes and Vignette's Chalk Style Paint to create the look I desired.  I then distressed and used General Finishes Black Glaze and finished the project with General Finishes Flat Out Flat top coat to keep the "primitive" look with no shine.
