Another custom table built using old school mortise and tenon techniques. The design was to fit 4 chairs on either side between the X base legs with a white base and custom color blend top. A family of 6 with 4 young kids we decided to "child proof" the edges by hand chiseling them to appear distressed. The top showing distressing we decided to add a base of antique oak, sand, then a blend up 5 parts Natural Stain with .5 part weathered for overall pickling age tone and then high performance satin top coat.

My name is Tim Arthur and I am the owner/founder of Arthur Millworks. I have a full service shop located in El Dorado Hills CA specializing in custom furniture builds and custom home improvement projects. My background in building started when was a kid and have been doing private builds and side projects for friends, family, and personal use ever since. My love, experience, and drive for perfection has provided me with some really cool experiences on House and Yard Crashers, Master Tree House Builds, and of course my favorite, custom furniture from cribs to cutting boards. A big part of my experience outside of woodworking was GM of one of the largest govt document factories in the world providing turn around times that couldn’t be matched for a better part of a decade. Years perfecting time management and process improvement have enabled me to master customer satisfaction while delivering results that are unmatched. That experience and my love for building sets us apart. You can see my work on HGTV, The Make A Wish Foundation, and multiple sources online. Customer referrals and a passion for woodwork are the reason I started this venture and why we are growing so fast. I am very meticulous and pride myself on high quality work, as nothing bothers me more than shoddy work that doesn’t last. I spend the time needed to ensure quality before I deliver a custom project. That being said, I personally plan out every build, and only accept work that I can achieve in the desired time frame while coupled with quality.

Customized reclaimed white oak barn wood table using beams and joists, and old school joinery. Our original design was to save as much of the natural patina and character of the wood available to form a custom dining table for a local designer. After the designer decided against the table design we moved forward with our design with the intention of using for a personal table. It wasn’t long before we were approached by Boston MA residents The Delaneys and without hesitation purchased the table before we could finish it.
